A bit about us:

Palladian Academy Trust is seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and reliable School Caretaker to join our Estates team. This role is based across our Wiltshire Schools, with flexibility required to support other Trust schools when needed.

The Palladian Academy Trust is a community of schools, each with its own ethos, that enjoy a mutually enriching partnership. Our Trust includes both church and community academies working closely together, all connected by a shared vision for our pupils: ‘excellent and equitable opportunities so everyone can flourish.’

All about the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in creating a safe, secure, and inspiring learning environment for pupils, staff, and the wider community. You will be working closely with the Trust Estates Lead and school teams, ensuring our sites are well-maintained and operate efficiently.

As the first and last face of the school each day, you will be a friendly, approachable presence for parents, pupils, staff, and visitors.

As School Caretaker, you will:

  • Ensure the security, safety, and general upkeep of school buildings and grounds
  • Carry out a range of maintenance and repair tasks (e.g. basic plumbing, decorating, minor repairs)
  • Respond promptly to reactive and unplanned maintenance issues
  • Conduct health & safety checks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Oversee and liaise with external contractors, ensuring adherence to RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
  • Support Trust-wide estates projects, compliance tasks, and site improvements
  • Cover absence and provide support across other Trust schools where required
  • Utilise school holiday periods to complete planned maintenance and improvement works

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
