Job Title: School Caretaker

Location: Thomas Telford Primary Free School, George Lees Avenue, Priorslee, TF2 5AB

Required: September 2026 (Permanent)

Salary: £11,755 per annum

Days/Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 7.30am to 11.30am (20 hours per week, term time + 5 PD Days)

Closing date: Tuesday 1st September at 12 noon.

Interview: W/C 7th September


About the Role:

Thomas Telford Primary Free School is a brand new build primary school which is part of the Thomas Telford Multi Academy Trust. The TTMAT has a proven track record of excellence and is at the forefront on educational developments nationally. In June 2024, our sister school, Redhill Primary Academy was awarded Ofsted’s highest accolade, after being rated Outstanding in all areas of the inspection framework, stating that all pupils thrive both academically as well as personally and socially. Our commitment is to achieve the same outcome at the new Free School.

The Caretaker plays a key role in ensuring that the school premises provide a safe, secure, clean, and welcoming environment that supports the delivery of high-quality education for all pupils. The role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including site security, building maintenance, health and safety compliance, and practical support for school events and daily operations.

This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as stated in the person specification.
