About The Role
Berkeley Scott seeks School Catering Assistants - Temp - Bath to support busy school kitchens across the city and nearby areas. Working daytime, term-time shifts within primary, secondary, and academy settings, the successful candidates help with food preparation and serve meals to pupils. Reliability, a strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for school catering matter. Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain a current Enhanced DBS certificate. These temporary assignments offer weekly pay, accrued holiday pay, and ongoing placements, with support from a dedicated agency team. Suited to those seeking flexible hours during school terms.
We are currently recruiting Temporary Catering Assistants to join busy school catering teams around Bath. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone reliable, hardworking, and passionate about working within school catering environments.
PLEASE NOTE: You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a CURRENT Enhanced DBS certificate to be considered for school roles.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with food preparation
- Serving meals to students and staff
- Maintaining high levels of kitchen hygiene
- Cleaning and clearing kitchen and dining areas
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
What We’re Looking For
- Previous catering or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential)
- Experience in school or contract catering (desirable)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, reliable, and organised approach
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
