About The Role

Berkeley Scott seeks School Catering Assistants - Temp - Cheltenham for temporary assignments in primary, secondary and academy settings around Cheltenham. Working term-time daytime shifts, successful applicants assist with food preparation, serve meals and help maintain clean, hygienic kitchens. Reliability, hard work and a genuine interest in school catering are essential. A current Enhanced DBS certificate is required, or willingness to obtain one. Weekly pay applies, with holiday pay accrued, and ongoing temporary placements are available across various schools in the local area. These roles suit people seeking flexible hours during term time who can commit to supporting busy school catering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with food preparation
  • Serving meals to students and staff
  • Maintaining high levels of kitchen hygiene

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous catering or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience in school or contract catering (desirable)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, reliable, and organised approach
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
