Position: School Catering Manager

Contract Type: Temporary, Part Time

Hours: 8/9am - 2pm (approx. 30 hours per week - term time only)

Pay: £13.50-£15 per hour + Holiday Pay + Benefits

Location: Chigwell, Essex

Please be aware we may also have other available roles across Redbridge, Waltham Forest, Havering and surrounding areas

Are you an experienced catering professional looking for a rewarding role in a school environment? We're seeking a School Catering Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our busy school kitchen. You'll be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for students and staff, managing a small team, maintaining excellent food hygiene standards, and ensuring a smooth and efficient catering service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook and serve healthy, high-quality meals
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff
  • Manage stock levels, food orders and budgets
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
  • Keep accurate compliance and inspection records

About You

  • Previous catering or food preparation experience
  • School catering experience desirable
  • Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate is essential
  • Strong organisational and team leadership skills
  • Passionate about providing healthy, appealing food for students
