Job Title: School Cleaner

Location: Beech Hall School, Beech Hall Drive, Cheshire, SK10 2EG

Salary: £11,337.32 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

Hours: 20 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.00am to 4.00pm

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

Start: October 2026

Role Purpose

We're looking for a dedicated School Cleaner to join our team and help ensure our school remains a place where students and staff can thrive.

This is more than just a cleaning role. You'll play a vital part in supporting the wellbeing, safety and comfort of everyone in our school community by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

As a School Cleaner, you'll help create a positive learning environment by ensuring classrooms, communal areas and facilities are clean, safe and well-presented. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the school while taking pride in making a visible difference every day.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas to a high standard.
  • Following daily, weekly and deep-cleaning schedules to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Safely using cleaning equipment and products in line with COSHH regulations and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Supporting colleagues with larger cleaning tasks and working collaboratively as part of the domestic team.
  • Assisting with laundry duties when required.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues, defects, hazards or damage promptly.
  • Helping to ensure the school remains a clean, welcoming and professional environment for students, staff and visitors.
