School Cleaner – Immediate Start

We are currently recruiting for a School Cleaner to join our Facilities Management team at a school in Fulford, York.
Working Hours:
During School Holidays:
- Monday to Friday, 3.5 hours a day, 17.5 hours weekly
(flexible start time between 08:00am – 11:30am)
Normal hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 3:30pm – 7:00pm
- Friday: 1:30pm – 5:30pm
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role
You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment throughout the school. Duties include:
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces
- Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
- Following all health and safety procedures
Essential Requirements
- A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate including the Children's Barred List is essential.
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
- High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.

Salary
£12.71 per hour
Please note: Applications will only be considered from candidates who already hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate including the Children's Barred List or will be happy to be put forward for an Enhanced DBS
