Job Title: School Cleaner

Location: Robins Way School, Amesbury, SP4 8JT

Hours: 15 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 2 hr before school and 1 hr after school.

Salary: £8,505 per annum (not pro rata)

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only + 2 weeks

Start: September 2026

About the Role

As a Cleaner, you'll be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the school site. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll help ensure classrooms, communal areas and facilities are presented to the highest standard while following health and safety procedures.

Every day, you'll play an essential role in ensuring our school remains clean, safe and welcoming for our pupils, staff and visitors. Your work will directly contribute to creating an environment where children can learn, grow and flourish.

What you will be doing

  • Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas.
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, washing and polishing floors and surfaces.
  • Emptying bins and managing waste, including recycling.
  • Replenishing consumables such as toilet rolls and soap.
  • Carrying out scheduled deep cleaning duties, including internal glass, skirting boards, walls and doors.
  • Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and in accordance with COSHH guidance.
  • Reporting any maintenance, health and safety or security concerns.
  • Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for everyone who visits the school.

What you will bring
