We are looking for a reliable and community-minded School Crossing Patrol Officer in a number of areas within the Hyndburn & Ribble Valley to help children and families cross safely.
- Hapton Road / Green Lane, Padiham (Padiham School)
- Reedyford Road Nelson (Holy Saviour Catholic Primary School)
- Lomeshaye Road, Nelson (St John's Southworth Primary School)

Working Hours;

Monday to Friday (Term Time)

Morning: 08:35 – 09:05

Afternoon: 15:15 - 15:45

Based on 38 school term weeks per year

7.5 paid hours per week, with a minimum of 5 paid hours per week (hrs may vary depending on the crossing location)

What We're Looking For;
Successful applicants will need to:
- Pass an enhanced DBS check
- Meet the medical requirements for the role
- Provide two satisfactory references

Local Government Reorganisation
The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.
If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
