School Exams Manager

Location: Hackney

Pay rate: GBP16.00 - GBP18.00 per hour

The thriving secondary school is located in the heart of Hackney. The school is a supportive and inclusive school community, dedicated to providing the best possible education for their pupils.

We are seeking a highly organised and efficient individual to join our team as our School Exams Manager. This is a part-time role working 24 hours per week with flexible hours.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Directing the invigilation team
  • Liaising with examination boards
  • Managing both internal and external exams
  • Ensuring all exam policies are reviewed annually and updated in line with JCQ Regulations
  • Setting calendar deadlines and schedules for all stages of the examination process
  • Maintaining familiarity with and ensuring compliance with examination board rules and regulations
  • Advising on the organisation, administration and conduct of internal and external examinations
  • Preparing examination entry forms and liaising with Subject Heads to ensure accurate student entries
  • Building and maintaining the whole school examination timetable
  • Liaising with the SENDco regarding Access Arrangements
  • Ordering, receiving, and securing examination papers and administrative documents
  • Collecting, sorting, checking and dispatching examination scripts
  • Providing support to Heads of Subject to ensure non-exam assessments are submitted to examination boards

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working in a school office environment and managing examinations is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational, attention to detail and administrative skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Eligibility to work in the UK - this is essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
