School Finance Manager
Band D / £33,673 - £38,510 pro rata
Required for November 2026 / 40 weeks (term time + INSET days + 1 week), permanent
Hours: 26 (4 days)

The Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint an excellent School Finance Manager to join our caring, skilled and dedicated team of staff at Burman Infant School.
About the Role
The School Finance Manager is a pivotal position, offering comprehensive financial and accounting support; from setting policy and managing resources, to overseeing all aspects of financial administration. You'll play a key role in shaping our financial strategy by working closely with the Headteacher, the Senior Leadership Team, and our Governing Body.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive financial and accounting support.
- Setting policy and managing resources.
- Overseeing all aspects of financial administration.
- Shaping financial strategy in collaboration with the Headteacher, the Senior Leadership Team, and the Governing Body.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experienced, organised and dynamic finance professional.
- Proficiency in monthly management accounting, asset management, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
- Strong stakeholder liaison skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking abilities, composure under pressure, and exceptional organizational skills.
- Positive, flexible approach, commitment to quality, and unwavering attention to detail.
