School HR Administrator – Redbridge

We are seeking a professional, organised, and proactive School HR Administrator to join the central Human Resources team of a well-established education trust in Redbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to develop a career in Human Resources within a busy and rewarding education environment.

The trust is responsible for supporting a number of successful schools across the local area and has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality education while investing in the development and wellbeing of its staff. Working within the central HR team, you will play an integral role in supporting schools across the trust by delivering efficient, accurate, and compliant HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle.

As a School HR Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across a wide range of HR functions, ensuring recruitment, compliance, payroll, and employee records are managed efficiently while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism.

This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity, offering an excellent pathway into a long-term HR career within education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the central HR team.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee induction processes.
  • Process pre-employment checks, including references, Enhanced DBS checks, Right to Work documentation, and qualification verification.
  • Maintain an accurate and compliant Single Central Record (SCR).
  • Create, update, and maintain confidential personnel files and HR databases.
  • Act as a first point of contact for routine HR queries from staff and managers.
  • Prepare contracts, contract amendments, maternity and paternity documentation, and other HR correspondence.
  • Monitor probation periods and liaise with managers regarding review documentation.
  • Record and monitor staff absence, return-to-work documentation, and associated HR processes.
  • Support payroll administration by ensuring employee information is accurate and submitted within required deadlines.
  • Assist with the completion of the School Workforce Census and HR reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with payroll, finance, and wider central support teams.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures and trust policies are followed at all times.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
