School IT Technician / IT Support - Wigston, Leicestershire
Location: Wigston, Leicestershire
Rate: £150 per day, depending on experience - negotiable
Contract: Full-time | Long-term | Ongoing

Luma Education Recruitment is currently recruiting for a School IT Technician / IT Support Technician to join the IT team at a leading school in Wigston, Leicestershire.
This is an ongoing opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems and providing friendly, practical IT support to teachers, pupils and school staff.
What you'll be doing
Working alongside the school's existing IT team, you'll provide day-to-day technical support across the school, including:
- Setting up user accounts, email addresses and passwords
- Supporting staff and pupils with computers, laptops and other devices
- Diagnosing and resolving everyday IT and technical issues
- Assisting with software, hardware, printers and connectivity
- Setting up equipment for new starters and classrooms
- Responding to IT queries and providing straightforward technical guidance
- Helping the wider IT team keep the school's technology running smoothly

What we're looking for
We're interested in hearing from candidates with experience in IT support, technical support, helpdesk support, school IT or IT technician roles.
You should be confident troubleshooting common IT problems, comfortable working with users of different abilities and able to communicate technical information clearly.
Previous experience working within a school, college or education environment would be useful, although candidates with strong commercial IT support experience are also encouraged to apply.

As this is a school-based position involving regular contact with children and young people, an Enhanced DBS check may be required.
