Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a School Nurse Support Worker based at Kilbirnie Health Centre and will cover North Ayrshire. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

Hours
36.00 hours per week (worked over 5 days).
UK Driving Licence
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated individual to join our Children and Families Health Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our School Nursing Team, supporting children, young people and families to achieve the best possible health and wellbeing outcomes.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering targeted support to primary school-aged children and their families. Working both independently and alongside colleagues, you will help families build confidence and resilience through evidence-based programmes and interventions, including Togetherness, HENRY (Health, Exercise and Nutrition for the Really Young), sleep support and toileting programmes.

You will work closely with children, parents and carers, providing practical support, encouragement and guidance while helping families work towards goals identified by the School Nurse. Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post
- SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Healthcare Support, Childcare, or equivalent experience
- Experience of working with children and families in the community
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Knowledge of health and social care services available for children and families.
- Understanding of child development and factors affecting health and wellbeing
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principle
- Ability to work on own initiative, unsupervised and in line with job description
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with children, families and professionals
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships
- Good time management, organizational skills and prioritizing of workload
- Accurate record keeping and reporting skills
- Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office applications
