Lift Hamford is looking for a School Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operational running of the school and provide high-quality support across HR, finance, estates, IT, compliance and administration. This is a key role within the school, helping to create the conditions that allow the Principal and Senior Leadership Team to focus on delivering an excellent education for every child.

About The Role

As School Operations Manager, you will act as the main link between Lift Hamford and Lift Schools' regional and central teams, ensuring operational processes are managed effectively and information is shared accurately and promptly.

You will oversee a broad range of school operations, including HR administration, recruitment support, finance processes, estates and facilities, IT coordination, health and safety, data protection, procurement, catering and cleaning arrangements, marketing and school communications.

You will also lead and coordinate key in-school operational activity, which may include front office administration, events, the school calendar, trips, lettings, wraparound care, cover arrangements, staff induction and training, stock and statutory information. You will line manage relevant colleagues and help ensure the school remains compliant, organised and responsive.

In This Role, You Will

  • Act as the key operational link between the school and Lift Schools' regional and central HR, Talent, Finance, Estates and IT teams.
  • Support recruitment and HR processes, including interview administration, employment checks, absence processes and payroll changes.
  • Coordinate finance administration including purchase orders, invoicing, banking and finance queries.
  • Lead on operational compliance including health and safety, first aid, visitor DBS processes and data protection.
  • Oversee relationships and arrangements relating to estates, facilities, catering, cleaning, procurement and IT.
  • Line manage relevant operational and administrative staff, setting clear expectations and supporting their development.
  • Coordinate key school operations including events, the calendar, trips, lettings, wraparound care, cover, induction, training and communications.
  • Support the school's marketing activity, website, social media and compliance with Lift Schools' brand standards.
  • Manage competing priorities effectively and respond calmly and professionally when circumstances change.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
