About The Role

School Operations Manager

Birchwood School, Cardiff

Salary: £31,050 per annum (Term-Time Only, 39 weeks per year)

Full-Time Equivalent (FTE): £41,400 per annum

Birchwood School is seeking an experienced, organised and proactive School Operations Manager to join our senior leadership team. This is a key role at the heart of our school, ensuring our operational functions run smoothly and effectively so that our pupils receive the highest quality educational experience.

We are looking for a skilled leader with experience managing school operations, administration, compliance, facilities and people processes. Working closely with the Head of School and wider leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic and day-to-day success of the school.

You will manage and develop support staff across multiple functions, ensuring high standards, efficiency and regulatory compliance throughout the school.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in a school business, operations or management role
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Has strong knowledge of compliance, safeguarding and health and safety requirements
  • Can effectively manage multiple priorities and operational functions
  • Is confident working with budgets, systems and data
  • Builds positive relationships with staff, families and external professionals
  • Shares our commitment to delivering the best outcomes for children and young people
