Shape the Future of Our School Infrastructure

Are you a strategic leader who thrives on operational excellence? We are seeking an exceptional Operations Manager to drive our school's infrastructure, compliance, and support services forward. This is a critical, strategic role reporting directly to the Headteacher. You will lead vital non-teaching functions, manage a talented middle leadership team, and work closely with Governors to ensure a safe, efficient, and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Oversight: Lead and develop the school’s Premises & Estates, IT/Network, and Catering provisions.
  • Line Management: Directly line manage and develop 3 key middle managers (IT, Catering, and Premises) overseeing a wider team of support staff.
  • Compliance & Safety: Oversee GDPR compliance and Health & Safety, site security, and cyber security protocols.
  • Governance & Leadership: Present critical risk, infrastructure, and personnel updates to Governor Committees and school leadership.
  • Joint Strategy: Partner with the School Finance & Business Manager on joint procurement, policy creation, and high-value funding bids (e.g., CIF grants).

What We Are Looking For?

The role of School Operations Manager requires a combination of operations management credentials, specialised health and safety compliance certifications, and school-specific leadership training. We are looking for an Operations Manager who can seamlessly run the non-teaching operational side of the school. Because our school environment is so unique, we are specifically looking for a distinct mix of strategic leadership, school operations acumen, and compliance to high standards in all aspects of the role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
