The Role
The School Organisation and Place Planning Team is crucial to Hackney’s overarching education strategy. This strategy aims to provide high-quality education for every child by developing an agile and sustainable school system. This system will build on existing collaborative models while addressing challenges such as fluctuating pupil numbers, limited resources, and the growing needs of children requiring significant support.
We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and experienced School Organisation Delivery Lead to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is responsible for the development and delivery of projects for the school organisation and place planning team within Hackney Education.
The School Organisation Delivery Lead will be responsible for a wide range of tasks crucial to the effective evolution and management of our school infrastructure. This role requires experience in project planning and process improvement. It also adds operational capacity by supporting colleagues in their duties.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and delivery of projects for the school organisation and place planning team within Hackney Education.
- Manage multiple stakeholders and complex timelines.
- Experience in project planning and process improvement.
- Support colleagues in their duties.
Requirements
- Education: Educated to degree level, equivalent professional qualification or relevant experience
- DBS: This post is not subject to a DBS requirement.
- Flexibility: All workers are expected to operate flexibly to support the delivery of services and from time to time will be required to undertake responsibilities outside the normal remit of role description as required.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Proven and successful project management/support experience – experienced in developing pragmatic approaches and structured plans to bring about change.
- Knowledge: Able to demonstrate an understanding of the wider context of school places context in relation to the Council’s corporate strategy, and the needs of key stakeholders and partners (internal and external).
- Strategic Ability: Confidence in project planning and the use of relevant project management tools and applications.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, excellent rapport building and ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, managers and stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the skills necessary to interpret and analyse complex information, and to use this in written reports and verbally to inform service development. Confidence in presenting highly accurate and relevant quality data in a variety of formats.
