MIS Receptionist / Administrator

Location: Twickenham, London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: £17.00 - £19.00 per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIS Receptionist / Administrator to join a well-regarded school in Twickenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled school administrator seeking a long-term position with the potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, managing reception duties, and maintaining accurate pupil data within the school's Management Information System (MIS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff, and external agencies
  • Managing the school's reception area and handling incoming telephone and email enquiries
  • Maintaining and updating pupil information using the school's MIS system
  • Supporting attendance administration and reporting
  • Assisting with admissions, leavers, and general student record management
  • Preparing school correspondence, reports, and documentation
  • Providing administrative support to the wider school team
  • Ensuring all records are maintained accurately and in line with data protection requirements
  • Supporting safeguarding and compliance procedures where required

Person Specification

  • Previous experience working in a school administration or reception role is essential
  • Experience using a school MIS system such as Arbour, SIMS, Bromcom, or equivalent
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Professional, approachable, and able to work effectively in a busy school environment
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently when required

Essential Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Proven experience in a similar school-based administration role
  • Right to work in the UK
