Truro Nursery School
Truro Nursery School is one of only two maintained Nursery Schools specialising in early years education in Cornwall. We have an outstanding Ofsted grade and we offer 90 places to children who are 2, 3 and 4 years old. We are part of a federation of Nursery Schools in Cornwall alongside Camborne Nursery School.
Vacancy for School Secretary with Financial Responsibilities
We have a vacancy for a school secretary with financial responsibilities (front of house) to start as soon as possible. The hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm (30 minute break for lunch) term time only plus an additional 5 days to be worked outside of term time as agreed with the headteacher.
The role is based at Truro Nursery School but applicants may be expected to work across the federation if needed.

We are looking for a competent, very organised, friendly and reliable individual who can manage their own workload and time well to join our skilful, longstanding team who are dedicated to providing quality, holistic nursery education and first class family support.

The successful applicant will be working as part of the office team (under the direction of our school administrator) and will be front of house dealing with queries from families. The individual will need to demonstrate efficiency and capability to carry out the role. They need to be able to develop appropriate relationships with families and support the school team. It would be advantageous to have experience of the role and/or financial qualifications or be willing to undertake this as needed.
