School Social Worker / Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) – Surrey – Permanent

Liquid Personnel are proud to be supporting a prestigious independent school in Surrey in recruiting a School Social Worker / Designated Safeguarding Lead on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional with a Social Work background and previous experience working within a school or educational setting. The role is non-teaching and offers the chance to focus on high-quality, child-centred safeguarding practice, collaborative decision-making and preventative work within a supportive environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the day-to-day safeguarding and child protection arrangements across the school.
  • Manage safeguarding concerns, referrals and multi-agency working to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Provide expert safeguarding advice and support to staff, pupils and families.
  • Liaise with Children's Social Care, the police, health services and other partner agencies.
  • Maintain accurate safeguarding records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Promote a strong safeguarding culture and support safeguarding training across the organisation.

For This Role You Will Need

  • A recognised Social Work qualification and current or previous Social Work registration.
  • Significant experience of safeguarding and child protection work with children and families.
  • Experience of working within a school or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding processes, thresholds and multi-agency working.
