The Schools Fundraiser role
The Schools Fundraiser role will provide tailored stewardship to schools, identify opportunities to increase fundraising, and support the growth of schools fundraising across the NSPCC. What is the purpose of the Schools Fundraiser?
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation the postholder will help schools feel valued and supported throughout their fundraising journey, driving long-term engagement and increased income to help keep children safe.
This role plays a key part in generating income to support the NSPCC's mission. You'll contribute by:
- Stewarding schools and focusing on relationship management
- Focusing on income growth and prospect development
- Developing and strengthening partnerships, such as Multi Academy Trusts that will increase schools engagement and fundraising income
- Ensuring the best possible Supporter Experience in line with our Supporter Centricity Programme

What will I be doing as a Schools Fundraiser?
The Schools Fundraiser will build and maintain strong relationships with schools, providing tailored support to encourage repeat fundraising and long term engagement. The role will identify and re-engage supporters, develop plans to maximise participation and income, and use data and insight to improve fundraising income and retention. Working collaboratively across the NSPCC, the Postholder will develop relationships with schools, Multi Academy Trusts and education networks, deliver an excellent supporter experience, and help drive the growth of schools fundraising income and engagement.

- Help generate vital fundraising income that enables the NSPCC to protect children and fight for every childhood
- Build lasting relationships with schools, encouraging long term support and engagement with the NSPCC
- Expand the reach and impact of schools fundraising by developing new partnerships and opportunities
- Ensure schools receive a personalised supporter experience that drives participation and retention
What skills do I need to be a Schools Fundraiser?
The ideal candidate will be a relationship-focused fundraiser with strong communication, organisational and analytical skills. They will be confident managing multiple priorities, using data to drive engagement and income growth, and working collaboratively to deliver excellent supporter experiences.
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage a range of audiences
- Skilled in analysing data and using insight to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and work independently
