The Opportunity
We are excited to share that we are hiring for a Science & Nutrition Lead, EU & UK for Glanbia Performance Nutrition!
This will play a pivotal role in strengthening Optimum Nutrition’s credibility, education leadership, and premium positioning across the region.
This is a senior, high-impact role for a nutrition expert who thrives at the intersection of science, storytelling, and commercial execution. You will act as the authoritative nutrition voice for the brand—internally and externally—ensuring our teams, partners, and consumers experience consistent, compliant, and compelling nutrition education at every touchpoint.
Reporting into the International Head of Education and Science you will be a part of a centre of excellence to ensure we have world class science-backed business
This is a permanent full-time opportunity and can be based in Dublin, Ireland OR London, UK.
Key Responsibilities
Education & Capability Building - Internally
- Delivering best-in-class nutrition education across commercial, marketing, partnerships, field, and customer-facing teams
- Leading and evolving Live Sports Nutrition School (SNS Live) as a core internal learning platform
- Creating engaging education toolkits, learning modules, and product training for all new launches
- Ensuring consistent understanding of claims, compliance, and category science across the region
Category Leadership & Commercial Enablement - Externally
- Delivering education to retailer and distributor head offices and store teams
- Supporting key commercial meetings with science-led expertise
- Building category stories around usage occasions, trends, and performance needs
- Equipping sales and field teams with credible, confident nutrition knowledge

Consumer Education & Brand Authority
- Supporting ON.com as a hub for education, SEO, and discovery
- Supporting and training the Optimum Nutrition’s nutrition spokesperson for media and PR
- Providing rapid expert input for reactive opportunities and issues management
Partnerships with Europe Market Scene Leaders and Content Creators
- Providing nutrition support to elite sports partnerships, athletes, and ambassadors
- Ensuring quality and scientific accuracy of athlete and influencer content
- Delivering nationwide gym education programs and staff training
- Supporting major marketing campaigns
INNOVATION & Product Leadership
- Responsible for local innovation support
- Providing end-to-end scientific support across current and future product innovation pipelines
- Input into formulation, ingredient selection, and product positioning
- Validating product claims, consumer messaging, and education materials
- Supporting compliance with Informed Sport and regulatory requirements
- Leading scientific storytelling to support key brand platforms, including Isopure
The skills you will bring to the team:
- Registered Sports Nutritionist / Dietitian with a Master qualification in Sports Nutrition required
- Strong experience in sports, performance, or applied nutrition (2-3 years’ experience)
- Proven ability to deliver engaging education to diverse audiences
- Excellent understanding of EFSA claims landscape, compliance, and evidence-based nutrition
- Confident communicator who can translate complex science into simple, compelling messages
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, commercial, and partnership teams
- Passion for performance nutrition and premium brand building
