We are currently partnered with a leading global biopharmaceutical organisation to recruit a Science Communications Senior Manager on an initial 12-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced communications professional to play a key role in shaping and delivering high-impact science communications across R&D, Medical and Corporate Affairs audiences. The successful candidate will help bring the organisation's science narrative to life internally, ensuring colleagues are informed, engaged and connected to key pipeline, medical and R&D milestones. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Global R&D, Medical and Corporate Affairs, you will develop compelling content, manage internal channels and support strategic communications activity across a complex, global environment.
Your new role
- Develop and deliver internal science communications campaigns focused on employee engagement across R&D, Medical and pipeline activity.
- Create engaging stories, articles and content that communicate scientific progress, key assets and people-focused achievements.
- Own and maintain internal science communications channels and content calendars, including pages covering Medical, R&D and broader science-related updates.
- Lead the planning and delivery of R&D and Medical town halls, including agenda development, slide creation, speaker briefing and event coordination.
- Support internal and selected external awareness campaigns around key milestones, disease awareness days and corporate science initiatives.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure messaging is accurate, consistent and aligned across internal and external platforms.
- Develop materials and resources that communicate R&D, medical programmes and partnering activity clearly and effectively.

What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience developing and executing strategic communications programmes for internal and external audiences.
- Proven background in scientific, medical, pharmaceutical, R&D, brand or franchise communications.
- Excellent internal communications, employee engagement and event delivery experience.
- Confident producing high-quality written materials for a range of audiences, including healthcare professionals, scientists, biotech stakeholders, patients and the public.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and senior stakeholders.
- Experience in oncology, rare disease or neuroscience would be highly advantageous.
- Leadership communications experience and in-house pharmaceutical or biotech experience would be beneficial.
- Degree-level education is required; a scientific background is preferred.
- Fluent English is essential; French language skills would be advantageous.
