Grass Roots Academic Support Job Opportunity

Grass Roots Academic Support is seeking to appoint a highly effective, innovative, and enthusiastic teacher who is a good team player, with the ability to engage and motivate students in Science. NQT/ECT’s as well as more experienced teachers are warmly welcomed to apply to join this very successful team.

Job Details

The school are offering a full-time role (Part-time will be considered) starting 1st November 2026 or January 2027.

Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for bringing your passion and expertise to the following areas:

  • Use assessment data to evaluate learner’s progress and set appropriate targets for improvement.
  • Understanding and applying effective classroom management.
  • Understanding and applying a range of teaching strategies.
  • Have a working knowledge of teachers' professional duties and legal liabilities.
  • Inspire trust and confidence in students and colleagues.
  • Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom engage and motivate students.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • A proven teaching record and/or high-quality references
  • A recent and clear DBS Disclosure (a new one can be applied for)
