Science Tutor (MUST have QTS)
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Tutor (MUST have QTS) to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have specific experience with the Entry Level Certificate (ELC) pathway and some experience working with SEN students (ADHS specifically). Tutoring sessions will be conducted in-person based in Edgware.
We require a teacher with QTS who can be confident and directive, with a strong commitment to educating and empowering students. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with KS3 students.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement personalized lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles of each student, preparing them to excel in their exams.
- Address learning gaps, educate students ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the material, and exam techniques - ensuring they are fully prepared for exams.
- Communicate regularly with students and their parents to provide feedback on progress and areas for improvement.
- Assist students in building confidence and developing effective study habits.
- Create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Adapt teaching methods to the student's learning style.
- Monitor student progress and adjust tutoring strategies accordingly to maximize learning outcomes.

Qualifications
- QTS
- Previous experience in KS4 Science (Biology and Physics in particular) tutoring or teaching, particularly with SEN students.
- Strong background in educational methodologies and techniques for effective learning.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with students of varying ages and backgrounds.
- A genuine passion for education and helping students achieve their academic goals.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate students through challenges.
- Understanding of child safeguarding essential. Completion of safeguarding courses desirable.
