Science Supply Teacher (No Planning/Marking) : Plymouth

Are you a passionate Science Teacher looking to teach without the burnout of lesson planning, marking, and late-night prep? We are seeking a flexible Science Specialist to join a thriving secondary school community in Plymouth for day-to-day subject and general supply cover. This is your chance to focus on what you love most: teaching--without the administrative weight of a permanent classroom role.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned Science and general subject lessons effectively.
  • Maintain a positive, productive learning environment in line with school behaviour policies.
  • Support student progress and manage classroom dynamics during teacher absences.
  • Leave detailed handover notes for returning class teachers.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong background in Secondary Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
  • Adaptable, engaging classroom approach and solid behaviour management skills.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for one).
