Role: Science Teacher with KS5 Chemistry or Physics experience (potential responsibility)
Start: 2nd November 2026
Reports to: Head of Science
Salary: MPS £38,805 - £51,735 per year (depending on experience)
We are seeking an exceptional Science Teacher with KS5 experience to inspire the next generation of scientists, who cares deeply about the pupils they teach and are dedicated to helping our pupils access real options.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, resource and deliver lessons to the highest standard so that pupils make exceptional progress
- Provide a nurturing environment that helps pupils to develop as learners
- Contribute to establishing and maintaining discipline across the whole academy
- Create a positive climate for learning, by explicitly teaching lesson routines and applying behaviour systems consistently and fairly
- Contribute to the planning of assessments and subject specific revision, including preparing pupils for national examinations

Qualification Criteria
- Qualified to teach and work in the U.K.
- Strong A Levels or equivalent
- Degree in Science or degree in a closely related subject
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Mastery of and enthusiasm for Science
- Knowledge of the national secondary education system, examinations and curriculum
- Excellent understanding of both subject and general teaching pedagogy
- Experience of reflecting on and improving teaching practice to increase pupil achievement
- Effective and systematic behaviour management

Every team member is supported with coaching and tailored professional development, whatever stage they are at in their career. Our extended school day (we finish at 4 four days a week and earlier on Wednesday) allows us to offer a broad, rich curriculum and timetabled enrichment for every child - but we never have meetings after school.
