Long:Term Opportunities

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver stimulating, safe, and well:structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), adhering to national curriculum standards.
- Encourage curiosity and critical thinking, helping students connect scientific concepts to real:world applications.
- Maintain a structured, safe, and positive classroom and laboratory environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed during practical activities.
- Apply effective classroom management strategies in line with individual school policies.
- For long:term roles: take ownership of lesson planning, ongoing assessment, preparing students for GCSE exams, and contributing to departmental meetings.
What We Look For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or a recognised equivalent secondary teaching qualification specialising in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Strong subject knowledge across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science.
- Confident classroom management skills and the ability to inspire young minds in STEM.
- An adaptable, proactive mindset, ready to hit the ground running in different secondary environments.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
