Science Teacher – Hillingdon | QTS Required | Short-Term & Contract Opportunities

Are you an enthusiastic Science Teacher looking for your next opportunity in Hillingdon? We are currently seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Hillingdon area. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Science Teacher who can inspire students and deliver engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The successful Science Teacher will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and can create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Whether you specialise in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or general Science, we would love to hear from experienced and newly qualified teachers alike.

This Science Teacher position is offered on a contract basis and may be short-term or longer-term depending on the needs and circumstances of the school. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as the duration of the contract could vary based on staffing requirements.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and motivate students.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.
  • Create a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements

To be considered for this Science Teacher role, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have previous experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
  • Be confident teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Be willing to work on a contract that may be short-term depending on the school's staffing requirements.
  • Have excellent classroom management skills and strong communication abilities.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
