Science Teaching Assistant - Aspiring Science Teacher

Q - Are you a Science Graduate looking to support Secondary children with their academia, whilst also utilising your academic knowledge and skill set?

If so, this role is perfect for you!

An Outstanding Secondary School in Tower Hamlets are seeking a Science Teaching Assistant and aspiring Science Teacher who they can train through-out the year as a Science Teaching Assistant, working specifically within KS3, KS4 and KS5 Science Lessons.

Within this role, you will be working closely with students both inside and outside the classroom. You will be supporting on a 1:1 and group basis, conducting group interventions with students of various abilities.

This school are in the top 1% for progress in the UK and are in the top 2% for Science results at GCSE and A-Level. This role is perfect for those aspiring to become a Science teacher as they have impressive Science labs and the Head of Science oversees the curriculum and exam writing for AQA so you will be in the best hands!

About the Role

  • Science Teaching Assistant - Aspiring Science Teacher
  • Working in either Biology, Chemistry or Physics classrooms
  • Assisting the lead teacher when needed
  • Working with KS3 - KS5 students (GCSE and A-Level)
  • Opportunity to join the Salaried Teacher Training Scheme as early as Sep 2026
  • £105 - £115 per day
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 4pm
  • Full Time - Long term
  • Located in Tower Hamlets

Perfect Candidate Specifications

  • 1st Class or 2:1 degree at a Russell Group university
  • A passion for Science
  • Aspiring Science Teacher
  • Strong knowledge of GCSE and A-Level curriculum
