Role Overview
We are seeking to appoint a passionate Science Technician and First Aid Coordinator to join our flourishing Science Department to support and maintain the laboratory, preparation room, equipment and consumables. The post-holder will possess sound knowledge and experience in a science-based work environment AND coordinate our first aid provision.

Key Responsibilities
- Have the ability to solve straightforward problems
- Be able to exchange information with pupils, teachers and other technicians
- Use hand-eye co-ordination and dexterity in the preparation of materials or use of equipment
- Work from instructions, but makes minor decisions involving the use of initiative
- Report problems to a line manager. Little close supervision is necessary beyond that provided by working arrangements and methods.
- Be responsible for careful use of expensive equipment
- Keep basic financial records
- Ensure adequate first aid supplies, arrange training for staff, liaise with trip leaders to provide medical information, provide first aid for students and arrange staff first aid rota.
