Enhanced DBS on the Update Service Required

A high-performing secondary school in Waltham Forest is seeking a Physics-specialist Science Technician to support the delivery of an ambitious, practical science curriculum. This is a full-time, permanent role starting October 2026.

The Role

Working under the Senior Science Technician and Head of Physics, you will:

  • Coordinate practical resources, equipment and lab facilities.
  • Prepare materials and apparatus for Physics lessons and demonstrations.
  • Support teachers and students during practical activities.
  • Maintain safe working practices and accurate stock control.
  • Assist across other science disciplines when required.

This role suits someone organised, proactive and confident working with Physics equipment and practical processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in a Science Technician role, ideally with a Physics focus.
  • Strong understanding of lab safety and practical procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Availability from October 2026.
