Online GCSE Science Tutor – AbiOnlineTeach
Role: GCSE Science Tutor
Location: Remote / Online
Contract: Self-employed
Hours: Part-time, primarily weekday evenings and/or weekends
AbiOnlineTeach is looking for an experienced and engaging GCSE Science Tutor to join our growing online tuition team. You will provide high-quality 1:1 and potentially small-group tuition, helping students strengthen subject knowledge, build confidence and improve exam technique.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – required
- Enhanced DBS certificate – required
- Experience teaching GCSE Science within UK schools
- Strong knowledge of the UK GCSE curriculum and major exam boards
- Ability to confidently teach Combined Science; Biology, Chemistry and Physics experience is highly desirable
- Clear, professional communication
- Engaging teaching style with the ability to explain challenging concepts simply
- Reliable and able to commit to regular students
- Confident delivering lessons online
- UK-based
- Able to provide two professional references

Responsibilities
You will plan and deliver personalized online lessons, identify gaps in students’ knowledge, support GCSE exam preparation and technique, set appropriate work where required, and provide concise feedback on student progress.

Recruitment process
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an online interview followed by a short online teaching demonstration.
