Freelance Scientific Director – Medical Communications
6-Month Freelance Contract | London | 1 Day per Week in Office
A leading London-based Medical Communications agency is looking for an experienced Scientific Director to join on a 6-month freelance contract.
This is a senior role leading the scientific direction across primarily Oncology accounts, with a strong focus on content review, scientific quality, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of scientific/medical writers.
- Review, edit, and approve high-quality scientific content.
- Provide strategic scientific direction across Oncology accounts.
- Work closely with account teams and clients.
- Ensure all deliverables meet the highest scientific and editorial standards.

About You
- Experienced Scientific Director or senior Medical Communications professional.
- Strong agency experience within Medical Communications/Medical Education.
- Excellent scientific writing, reviewing, and editing skills.
- Proven experience leading teams.
- Strong Oncology experience is highly desirable.
- Confident working with clients and senior stakeholders.
