Company Description

Trafalgar Scientific Ltd, founded in 1993, specialises in supplying microbiology products to the food and beverage industry and third-party laboratories across the UK. The company began by introducing 3M Petrifilm to the food microbiology market and has since built strong relationships with leading industry brands. Trafalgar Scientific focuses on unconventional, niche solutions while continually expanding its range of conventional microbiology products. This combination has positioned the company as a single, trusted source for a wide variety of microbiology-related supplies, offering customers comprehensive support and product choice.

Role Description

The Scientific Field Sales Account Manager – South & South East is a full-time remote role responsible for managing and growing customer accounts within the designated region. Day-to-day tasks include building and maintaining relationships with food and beverage manufacturers, third-party laboratories, and other relevant organisations, while promoting Trafalgar Scientific’s microbiology product portfolio. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, conducting product demonstrations and presentations, and providing technical and commercial guidance to customers. The Account Manager will prepare and follow up on quotations, negotiate pricing and contracts within company guidelines, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Regular travel within the South and South East region is required for on-site visits, meetings, and industry events, alongside maintaining accurate records in CRM systems and reporting on sales performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
