Hyper Recruitment Solutions are currently supporting an innovative life sciences organisation in their search for a Scientific Operations Manager to join their growing team in London.

This is a unique opportunity for a scientifically trained professional who is passionate about improving how research organisations operate. Working closely with senior leadership, you will lead projects focused on laboratory systems, automation, workflows and operational infrastructure, helping to build the foundations that enable world-class science.

Company

Our client is a cutting-edge research organisation operating at the intersection of discovery science and technological innovation. Working within a highly collaborative environment, the organisation brings together expertise from multiple scientific disciplines to tackle complex biological challenges and accelerate research progress.

Role Overview

As Scientific Operations Manager, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of operational improvement projects across the organisation. Working closely with scientists and key stakeholders, you will identify opportunities for improvement, evaluate solutions, manage implementation and ensure successful adoption.

Projects are expected to include laboratory automation, sample tracking systems, compound management and wider scientific infrastructure initiatives. Unlike a traditional project management position, this role will also involve ongoing responsibility for optimising and maintaining the systems and processes you establish.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
