About ECTRP
ECTRP (European Council for Technology Research & Practice) is an independent initiative connecting technology research and professional practice through focused scientific symposia. We are currently building the inaugural ECTRP 2027 Symposium Series and are looking for motivated volunteers to join the organizing committee.
Areas of interest include:
- Scientific program development
- Researcher and practitioner outreach
- Communications and social media
- Partnerships and sponsorships
- Event organization
- Publications and proceedings

This is an unpaid volunteer position for the inaugural edition. It is an opportunity to contribute to the development of a new independent scientific initiative.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the planning and development of the ECTRP Symposium Series 2027, supporting the definition of topics, sessions and activities.
- Help identify and engage relevant researchers, engineers and technology professionals.
- Support the promotion of symposia through academic and professional networks, including LinkedIn and specialized communities.
- Assist with the organization of sessions, presentations, panels and other scientific and technical activities.
- Support communication with participants, speakers, reviewers and other contributors.
- Assist with administrative and operational activities related to the symposia.
- Contribute ideas to strengthen the connection between academic research and professional practice.

Qualifications
- Interest in science, engineering, technology or related fields.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Good organization, initiative and ability to follow through on commitments.
- Interest in scientific events, research, engineering or professional communities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and remotely.
- Academic or professional experience in one of the ECTRP Symposium areas is an advantage, but not required.
- Previous experience in event organization, science communication or project management is an advantage.
- Undergraduate students, graduate students, researchers and early- to mid-career professionals are welcome.
