About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic candidate who will provide day-to-day scientific project management and clinical trials operations support to Professor Edison to ensure the successful delivery of multiple studies and other research initiatives.

What you would be doing

Join the Imperial College Memory Research Centre at Hammersmith Campus, Imperial College London, as a Scientific Project Manager working with the internationally renowned Professor Paul Edison. In this pivotal role, you will drive the delivery of a diverse and ambitious portfolio of interventional, observational, neuroimaging, and translational research studies across neurodegenerative conditions including Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment, and vascular dementia, utilising cutting-edge PET, MRI, and CSF biomarker technologies to investigate neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration across Phase 1 and Phase 2/3 studies. You will play a central role in grant writing, manuscript development, protocol creation, and horizon-scanning for new funding opportunities, while ensuring all studies are delivered to the highest scientific, operational, and regulatory standards. Professor Edison’s team has an outstanding international track record, publishing in world-leading journals including Nature Medicine, The Lancet Neurology, The BMJ, and other Nature journals and producing transformational research with significant societal impact. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting and meaningful contribution to world-leading dementia and neuroimaging research at one of the UK's most prestigious and impactful research institutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
