Purpose and Scope

As Scientific Publication Lead, you play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality scientific evidence communications for Astellas-sponsored research. Within the Evidence Disclosure Chapter, you are responsible for driving clear, compelling scientific storytelling across publications and congress materials for assigned brands. You work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile, Brand@Center environment to ensure evidence is effectively disseminated to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).

Role and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the integrated Evidence Dissemination Plan and collaborate with global and local stakeholders to align on strategy and execution
  • Lead the development of scientific narratives and oversee the creation of abstracts, presentations, manuscripts, and publication extenders
  • Manage content development timelines, vendors, and budgets while ensuring high-quality, compliant outputs
  • Ensure all scientific communications meet internal SOPs and external guidelines (GPP, ICMJE) and resolve complex review feedback
  • Monitor dissemination impact metrics and continuously optimize content strategy based on insights

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Medical Affairs or Medical Communications, including scientific content development and review
  • Strong ability to translate complex clinical data into clear, compelling scientific narratives and storytelling
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional and global stakeholders in an agile working environment
  • Solid understanding of clinical trial design, drug development, and interpretation of scientific data
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements for non-promotional content and publication standards (e.g., GPP, ICMJE)

Education

  • Master’s degree in life sciences or healthcare-related field (PhD, PharmD, MD preferred) or equivalent
