About the job:

Scientist / Research Associate – Assay Development

This is a hands on, bench based role supporting assay development, with genuine scope to grow as the science team scales. The successful candidate will play a direct role in building the analytical evidence base behind the company's hormone assays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and optimisation of quantitative hormone immunoassays
  • Run experimental work covering sensitivity, precision, reproducibility and stability
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready lab documentation
  • Contribute to data analysis and help uphold rigorous data integrity standards

Experience Required:

  • PhD/MSc in biomedical science, biochemistry or a related field
  • 0–5 years' hands-on lab experience, spanning lab fundamentals (ELISA, PCR, sample handling, protocol-following) through to independent immunoassay design (ELISA, LFA, MIA)
  • Comfortable with basic data analysis (Excel, GraphPad or equivalent)
  • Able to follow and accurately document experimental protocols to a high standard
  • Experience with hormone biomarkers (LH, FSH, progesterone)
  • Exposure to lateral-flow, biosensor or microfluidic assay formats is a plus
  • Right to work in the UK, and able to work on-site in the greater London
