Summary
Ride Therapeutics are seeking a molecular biologist to contribute to our biology team. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members to carry out and improve molecular biology methods and produce consistent material for other parts of our workflow.

Key responsibilities:
- Carry out and optimise molecular biology processes independently including but not limited to: DNA assembly, protein production, qPCR, NGS
- Work on multiplexed reactions using pipetting robots
- Characterise DNA, protein, and cellular products
- Maintain accurate and current records of experimental work
- Improve efficiency and yield of molecular biology reactions
- Help out with cellular biology assays as needed
- Perform routine laboratory procedures, regular quality control and set up of equipment
- Write or contribute to publications, including making presentations at conferences or exhibiting work at academic or industry conferences
- Communicate complex ideas and concepts to those with limited knowledge and understanding as well as to peers
Skills, qualifications and experience:
- Undergraduate and PhD degrees in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related discipline, and/or significant relevant industry experience.
- Experience in the following techniques: qPCR, NGS, Gibson assemblies, ligation, protein production, electrophoresis
- Experience with cell biology is a plus
- Evidence of high proficiency in experimental design, execution, troubleshooting, data analysis, and communication of results
- Evidence of ability to quickly learn new techniques and work in a small team
- Evidence of ability to lead, organise and participate in collaborative research projects
- 1+ years of prior relevant experience working in industry
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Evidence of ability to present research findings to a scholarly audience
- Desire to be part of a highly collaborative, dynamic, and agile team
