Job Description

Are You Ready to Make It Happen at Mondelēz International?

Join our Mission to Lead the Future of Snacking. Make It With Pride.

Working as part of a cross-functional team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance, and/or productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience.

How You Will Contribute

  • Main responsibility in that global R&D role is to oversee the process for some of our biggest chocolate SKUs and leading the competitor benchmarking process.
  • Accountability for sample selection and approval, various analysis, and maintaining the database for tracking and traceability purposes.
  • Work with regional and global stakeholders across the globe and various functions, like Marketing, Insights and Analytics, and the regional R&D.
  • Linked to that, but not exclusively, the role's responsibility is comparing specific Pilot Plant made chocolate masses vs plant made and their equivalency, in terms of flavor and texture. This involves collaboration with our process, mass, and Consumer Science teams.
  • Responsibility for specific competitor surveillance activities, with a scope that varies depending on stakeholder’s strategic interest. On top, some of historical competitor surveillance activities may need to be revised and updated regularly or on demand.
  • With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing, and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks.
  • Plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements and development activities (e.g., product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation, etc.).
  • Write technical reports that will require the analysis and interpretation of results and that lead to conclusions and recommendations and create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.
  • A global role which requires technical rigor and attention to detail, with plenty of opportunities to collaborate, to raise the bar when it comes to processes and ways of working on all aspects of the role mentioned before and to build a cross-functional Mondelez network, inside and outside R&D.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
