Role: Scottish Water Enterprise - Production Manager
As Scottish Water Enterprise - Production Manager you will report to the Enterprise Managing Director and lead the Enterprise-wide production delivery, driving productivity, resource optimisation and consistent delivery performance across the SR27 programme.
This two-year Enterprise Leadership Team role provides strategic leadership of the SR27 production system, supporting Integrated Programme Directors to successfully deliver programme outcomes while improving productivity, affordability, safety and customer value across the Enterprise

Responsibilities
- Lead integration of delivery across all programmes to support milestones, quality and business-plan commitments
- Contribute to the development of the Enterprise strategy, investment priorities, operating model evolution and delivery transformation
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Enterprise production system
- Establish and lead an integrated Enterprise production environment across all four programmes, with clear accountabilities, decision-making and outcomes
- Model and provide visible leadership of safety, health, wellbeing and operational integrity, ensuring the protection of colleagues, partners, supply chain, customers, communities and live assets
- Own the consolidated Enterprise delivery forecast and aggregate view of affordability, productivity, efficiency, commercial performance and delivery exposure
- Work with the Engineering and Solutions Director to integrate engineering-led efficiency opportunities into the Enterprise Improvement & Efficiency Plan and production system
- Own the integrated Enterprise production plan, forward view of demand and capability, work release disciplines, cross-programme dependencies and capacity-balancing decisions
- Resolve highly complex, systemic and often unprecedented Enterprise production challenges where no established precedent exists, balancing operational, customer, regulatory, commercial, supply-chain and delivery priorities to determine optimal Enterprise outcomes
- Build constructive relationships with Scottish Water, Enterprise partners and regional supply chains to secure and balance delivery capacity, align mobilisation and production approaches, drive innovation and support best for-Enterprise decisions and outcomes
- Ensure the Enterprise production system protects service continuity, live assets, customers, communities, statutory obligations and Scottish Water reputation

Essential
What you’ll need:
- Senior leadership experience in large-scale, multi-organisational delivery ecosystems, such as Enterprise or Alliance delivery
- Leadership of multi-programme production systems spanning the full-programme lifecycle from design through to handover
- Experience in portfolio production strategy, work bank planning, productioncontrol, work release, capacity optimisation, supply-chain readiness, performance diagnosis and recovery
- Strong commercial and financial capability, including forecasting, affordability, target cost and P&L insight and risk
- Proven ability to lead through complex matrix arrangements without direct line authority
- Ability to resolve complex and unprecedented cross-programme challenges, ensuring decisions are made in line with Enterprise priorities
- Demonstrable commitment to safety, wellbeing and operational integrity
- Ability to drive productivity through standardisation, industrialisation, digital enablement, innovation, unit-cost improvement, carbon reduction and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and senior stakeholder, partner and regulator relationship skills
Desirable
- Relevant degree and/or professional membership
- Previous Enterprise delivery knowledge or experience
- Water, wastewater, networks and/or treatment experience
