An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced SCPHN school nurses to join the Bexley 0-19 service. We are looking for dynamic, confident and compassionate nurses to join the well-established team within the Bexley borough. The service is approaching a period of exciting change and innovation, and the post holder would have the opportunity to help influence and transform the service offer available to children, young people and their families.
Role Overview
The post-holder will be the named School Nurse for schools within the area. This role will incorporate a supervisory role for staff nurses working within the school nursing service.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as a member of the School Nursing Service
- Collaborate with schools, families, and the wider community
- Improve the health of school-aged children by identifying the more vulnerable
- Develop clear referral pathways
- Deliver requirements from the service specification
- Provide expert information, guidance, and assessments as required

Requirements
- Specialist Community Public Health Qualification in School Nursing
- Post-graduate experience of working within a School Nursing team
Additional Information
- Adheres to the NMC Code and maintains own professional requirements in line with revalidation procedure.
- Participates actively in continuing education programs and accepts responsibility for professional and self-development.

Salary
Salary is dependent on NHS experience and current banding/pay point.
