Role Description
The Screed and Underfloor Heating Contracts Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in the City of Bristol. The Contracts Manager oversees multiple screed and underfloor heating projects from inception to completion, including planning, resourcing, and delivery to agreed time, cost, and quality standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Managing client relationships
- Preparing and reviewing quotations and contracts
- Coordinating with site supervisors and installers
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures
- Monitoring project progress
- Managing subcontractors and materials
- Handling variations and project risks
- Preparing regular reports for senior management
The role involves contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting health and safety practices on site, and helping maintain UKS GROUP’s quality accreditations.
Qualifications
- Strong project and contracts management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management for construction or building services projects.
- Technical knowledge of screed applications and underfloor heating/cooling systems, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Experience coordinating site operations, including managing subcontractors, materials logistics, and on-site health and safety compliance.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Competence in using project and office software (e.g., MS Office, project management tools) and maintaining accurate project records and reports.
- Understanding of quality management and relevant industry standards, ideally including exposure to ISO, CHAS, CSCS, or similar accreditation frameworks.
- Relevant experience in construction, mechanical services, or flooring industries; previous contracts management or site management experience is highly beneficial.
- Formal qualifications in construction management, engineering, building services, or a related discipline are desirable, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, site-based environment.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
