We’re Hiring: Screening Officer!

📍 Location: Hayes, UB3 4QR

💰 Pay: £21.09 per hour

📅 Hours: Average 30 hours a week - week1 - 2 Days \ week2 - 3 Days

Responsibilities

Job Description

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

  • Adhere to and apply the Screening Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Require datacentre personnel to utilise metal detection and/or wand for secure area access
  • Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel
  • Perform hand-held wand searches and walk-through metal detection searches
  • Follow safe work practices and be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety. Notify superiors of any unsafe working conditions
  • Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, whilst showing a natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority, complying with relevant policies, procedures and training as provided by the Company
  • Monitor traffic flow through screening checkpoints

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Proven experience in datacentre operations or equivalent security industry experience; or equivalent experience in forces/services
  • The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
  • Must have a valid driving licence
  • Must have a SIA Licence
  • Should be contactable days, nights and weekends for short notice cover
  • Good fitness levels
  • Reliable and great team player
  • Great customer service skills (white glove attitude)
  • Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
