Looking for a theatre role within a busy private hospital offering a varied surgical caseload? Experienced within scrub and interested in developing your orthopaedic or advanced surgical skills?

Want to join an established theatre team with excellent training, private healthcare and pension benefits?

About the Role

Compass Associates are working with a highly respected private hospital in Surrey to recruit an experienced Scrub Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner. You will join a busy and supportive theatre department, providing safe and effective care throughout the surgical pathway while maintaining high standards of clinical practice, patient safety and infection prevention.

Applicants with an SFA qualification or advanced orthopaedic experience are particularly encouraged to apply, although these are not essential.

  • Salary up to £40,000, dependent on experience
  • Potential flexibility for exceptional candidates with advanced skills
  • Full-time permanent position
  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Life assurance at three times your basic salary
  • Employer pension contributions of up to 5% following qualification
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Enhanced parental leave and family-friendly policies
  • Extensive clinical training and development opportunities
  • Access to a dedicated professional development academy
  • Cycle-to-work scheme and employee discounts

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
