Our Team: How we enrich everyday life
You will be joining our Data & Decision Sciences (DDS) team, a collaborative, cross-functional group that helps turn data into meaningful business outcomes across Bauer Media. The team partners closely with stakeholders across multiple markets, delivering trusted insights, data products, and solutions that support growth, audience engagement and operational excellence.
This role will support a brand-new squad, working alongside talented and supportive colleagues including Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, Product Owners, and other specialist data professionals.
The Difference You Will Make
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new team. As Scrum Master, you will establish agile ways of working, create effective ceremonies and governance processes, and ensure the squad can deliver against its roadmap with clarity and confidence.
You will play a crucial role in helping a data-focused team work effectively, removing obstacles, aligning stakeholders, and driving delivery against agreed objectives. Working within a modern data operating model, you will balance agile coaching with a strong focus on planning, execution, transparency, and continuous improvement.
You'll have the opportunity to influence how a new squad operates while supporting the delivery of impactful data solutions across multiple markets.
Your Role
As Scrum Master, you will facilitate agile delivery across a newly established data squad, ensuring the team has the structure, processes, and support needed to achieve its goals.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Establish and continuously improve agile processes, ceremonies, and ways of working for a newly formed team.
- Coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices, particularly within a data-focused environment.
- Maintain and optimise Jira and Confluence to ensure transparency across squad activities, sprint backlogs and delivery plans.
- Drive effective planning, tracking and delivery against agreed roadmaps and timelines.
- Support backlog refinement and ensure priorities are understood and aligned.
- Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration and continuous improvement within the squad.
- Provide clear reporting and delivery metrics to support roadmap predictability and stakeholder confidence.

The Skills You Will Bring
Essential
- Proven experience working as a Scrum Master within Agile delivery environments.
- Proven ability to manage initiatives at scale and cross-market.
- Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage planning, dependencies, risks and deadlines.
- Experience supporting Agile teams to successfully deliver projects and initiatives.
- Ability to adapt your approach to different team dynamics and levels of maturity.
- Familiarity with data, analytics, business intelligence, data engineering or similar data-focused environments.
Desirable
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience launching new teams or establishing agile processes in greenfield environments.
- Experience within media, publishing or similarly complex, matrix organisations.
- Familiarity with Miro.
- Experience delivering projects across multiple stakeholders, markets or business functions.
Working Pattern/Location
Permanent, full-time position based in London with a hybrid working model. Approx. once a week onsite.
