Role Overview

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Scrum Master to work for our client within the Life & Pensions / Financial Services sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension and will be based in Cheshire.

Our client is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery teams in driving high performance and delivering customer-focused business outcomes. You will coach and facilitate Scrum teams, helping them embrace Agile principles and best practices while fostering collaboration, transparency, continuous improvement, and self-organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to support strategic transformation initiatives within a large and complex financial services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Scrum teams to deliver successful outcomes through effective application of Agile practices, processes, tools, and techniques.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and coach teams towards greater self-sufficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Product Owners to maximise value delivery through effective backlog prioritisation and planning.
  • Remove delivery impediments and manage dependencies across teams and stakeholders to accelerate business value.
  • Monitor team performance through Agile metrics and drive improvements in predictability, efficiency, and quality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
